- David Whitehouse is Head of Credit Risk at bunq, a European neobank, where he provides second-line oversight of credit risk across the bank’s retail, SME and investment activities. With over 16 years of experience across first and second-line roles, David has built a track record of combining deep credit risk expertise with strategic insight and effective stakeholder engagement. His experience spans credit underwriting and portfolio management, risk appetite and stress testing, model oversight, concentration risk and the use of data and analytics to drive better risk decisions. Prior to bunq, David held senior risk and banking roles at Citi, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank and NatWest, covering a broad range of consumer, SME and corporate credit portfolios. David has a particular interest in how technology and data can enhance credit risk management, strengthen decision-making and enable responsible growth within financial services.
